15 Best Labor Day Furniture Sales and Decor Deals We’re Shopping Right Now
The holiday may be over a week away, but there’s no shortage of early Labor Day furniture sales to shop as we speak. Deals on sectionals, sheet sets, and even laptops abound, from Clever-tested brands like Apple, Burrow, Floyd, and Bed Threads. (Some of our favorite on-sale finds include Troye Sivan’s linen sheets, a Sixpenny sofa dupe, and a truly cooling mattress.) We’ll update this list as more sales go live, but in the meantime, shop the best end-of-summer sales below.
It may not be a Labor Day sale, but Apple’s Education Pricing is in full effect through the holiday weekend (and, in fact, until September 30). All customers—students or not—will receive an Apple gift card of up to $150 with purchase of an iPad or laptop. (You can also trade in your old laptop for an even greater discount.)
Article—a well-loved furniture brand among Clever staff and readers alike—is running a Labor Day sale starting now through the holiday weekend. It’s your chance to take $70 off this Scandi nightstand, which is made from solid oak and vegetable-tanned leather.
Bed Bath & Beyond’s having a blowout sale: Take up to 70% off across all categories, like rugs, bedding, and small kitchen appliances. We’d be remiss not to encourage you to pick up an on-sale jute rug—a must-have among interior designers. (There’s one in Erin Wasson’s living room, for instance, and in just about every one of these cozy New England homes.) This one from Safavieh comes in a range of widths and lengths—the smallest of which will only set you back $28.
Take 15% off everything—including Troye Sivan’s very own sheet set—during Bed Threads’ end-of-summer sale. Digital design editor Zoë Sessums calls the French flax linen “sturdy, beautiful, and perfect for temperature control.” (The brand’s Last Chance sale section, with deals up to 40% off, is also well-stocked.)
Buffy—creator of the original Cloud Comforter lighter-weight little-sibling the Breeze and some of our favorite cooling sheets—is offering 20% off select items for Labor Day.
With code LDS20, everything (yes, everything) is currently 20% off at Burrow. We’d use the sale as an opportunity to invest in a set of Burrow’s best-selling wall shelves, a sturdy-yet-stylish option for the living room or bathroom. (We’re also partial to the brand’s wicker chair, which can be used both indoors and out.)
Spend more to save more during Castlery’s Labor Day furniture sale, which ends September 8. Along with the retailer’s regular sale section, Clever readers will get $100 off $1,500 spent, $200 off $2,500 spent, and $450 off $4,500 spent on any of the site’s stylish inventory right now. Those in the market for a new sofa would be wise to put that discount toward the Jonathan sectional, which Clever editor Rachel Fletcher called a “dream” for napping and reading in her in-depth review. Aside from its on-trend shape, it’s comfortable, well-made, and doesn’t fade or sag.
Head to Crate & Barrel, where you can save up to 60% off as part of the brand’s Labor Day sale, which runs through September 4. In our virtual cart? This fall-toned slipcover sofa—now $440 less—that could easily pass for a Sixpenny. (Those searching for a smaller splurge might like these antiquey taper holders.)
What do Oprah Winfrey and our commerce editor Audrey Lee have in common? They’re both avid fans of bedding from Cozy Earth—now up to 55% off for a limited time. (Plus orders over $50 ship for free.) The bamboo-viscose bedding is “supersoft,” according to Audrey, with a light, cool-to-the-touch feel that’s ideal for hot rooms and sweaty sleepers.
Floyd’s August Sale is a particularly excellent time to snag the brand’s highly versatile bed frame (a Clever fave) at 20% off. And if you’re in the market for a show-stopping sectional, know that Floyd’s very stylish version is a whopping 30% off right now.
Leesa’s Sapira Chill Mattress is just as supportive as it is cooling—so much so that I sleep better throughout the night and rely less on my air conditioner. Now through the long weekend, it’s 25% off (and includes two free pillows) at checkout.
Nordstrom’s end-of-summer sale section is also particularly well-stocked. This half-off baking set from Staub—available in white, navy blue, and cherry red—would make an excellent gift for a loved one (or yourself).
The Purple mattress is known for its proprietary top layer—made from breathable honeycombed polymer—which offers both back support and pressure relief. “The top layer feels unique, but once you adjust, it’s hard to go back to regular foam,” one Clever mattress tester writes. Now through September 10, you can take up to $700 off the Rejuvenate Mattress, up to $500 off the Restore Mattress, and up to $300 off the brand’s classic models. Plus all bedding and pillows are 20% off. (And if you’re interested in all things mattress sales, check out our Labor Day roundup for more.)
Ahead of Labor Day, select furniture and decor are up to 54% off at Serena & Lily. The sale includes this grassy wicker chair—a British-designer favorite that’s not always easy to find on this side of the pond.
Finally, we’d be remiss not to mention the end-of-summer sale section at SSENSE, currently awash with Tekla throws, Maison Louis Marie candles, Stagg tea kettles, and even a standing ashtray from Seth Rogen’s Houseplant. While not technically Labor Day furniture sales (SSENSE is Canadian after all) you do not want to miss these deals.
