I Upgraded My Patio Furniture for Under $300 at Wayfair

After four years living in Los Angeles, I recently decided this was finally the summer to make good use of my balcony. The process started by tossing out my old, weather-worn outdoor furniture, giving the dirt-coated floors a deep clean, and reimagining how to best use the space. 

My balcony is small, so I knew versatile seating was a must. I also love having morning coffee and a happy hour cocktail alfresco, so I added a small table to my wish list. Lastly, I was eager for a more aesthetically pleasing setup that actually makes me want to sit outside, which I knew could be fixed with a stylish rug. Wayfair’s outdoor sale was the first place I looked for my refresh, and I had the opportunity to test out three products that completely transformed my space — all for under $300.

This Winston Porter bench was the first item I picked because I knew it would serve as the centerpiece of my balcony to inspire the other items I picked. This bench is a comfortable upgrade compared to the flimsy folding chairs I had, and I was happy to see it is weather-resistant, since my last patio furniture set wore down in the sun. The spacious loveseat is large enough to fit my husband, dog, and me comfortably, and the cushions make it supportive enough to sit on for long periods of time.

Aura Outdoor Wicker Deck Box

I opted for this wicker deck box that doubles as a side table because I needed something large enough to hold drinks, a book, and a small plant for decor, but compact enough to fit my small space. I love that it opens to reveal ample room inside, which I’ve used to store a furniture cover for the bench while it’s off. There is plenty of extra space, which can hold my outdoor throw pillows as I continue to decorate my balcony.
